Aluminium Recycling is an environment-friendly business as Aluminium is endlessly recyclable and helps in conserving the resources available on earth. As per industry estimates every 1 tonne of aluminium manufactured through primary route consumes 4-6 tonnes of bauxite, 1-1.5 tonne of limestone, 20-22 cubic meter of water, and ~14,000 Kwh of power. As against this, manufacturing of 1 tonne aluminium from the recycled route consumes aluminium scrap as a key raw material (saving natural resources) and consumes only 5-7% of the total power required for primary aluminium, thereby saving natural resources and being energy efficient. Furthermore, each tonne of tonne of aluminium ingot manufactured through primary route emits ~3830 Kg of CO2, as compared to emission of ~290 kg of CO2 manufactured through scrap recycling.
Liquid Metal Supply
CMR has made significant investments to introduce liquid metal supply in this industry. This has served as an effective method for emission reduction. Liquid metal supply eliminates the entire process of ingot melting by die-caster, which would otherwise lead to wastage of fuel and loss of metal (melt loss). Supply of 1 ton of liquid Aluminium saves approximately 528 kg of CO2 emission.
Pollution Control Systems
All our plants are equipped with the latest pollution control systems which ensure under 50 mg/Nm3 suspended particulate matter (SPM) from our stacks, which far exceeds the government norms for the recycling industry. Additionally, we continuously endeavour to deploy Energy Saving Technology.
Our Tapukhera (Bhiwadi) plant has been accredited by the UNFCCC as an environmentally clean plant, eligible for Carbon Credits.
